CORE OBJECTIVES

1. To monitor and administrate copyright activities in the Institution in accordance with the Nelson Mandela University Copyright Policy and law.
2. To negotiate, draft and manage University contracts in accordance with the Nelson Mandela University Contracts Policy and law.
3. To initiate and manage student disciplinary proceedings in accordance with the Student Disciplinary Code and law.
4. To provide a general legal advisory service to the University in order to ensure, amongst others, the protection of the legal interest of the Institution.
5. To provide access to information services in accordance with the Nelson Mandela University Access to Information Policy and Statute.
